NEFSCUN

NEFSCUN is the only national apex body for Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOS) and their District Unions in Nepal. We are a member based organization, providing financial and non-financial services to our members, guided by International Credit Union Principles and Values. We promote, strengthen and provide a forum for SACCOS to become viable community based financial institutions through value-added services: education, training, technology and financial services. Since being formed in 1988 with 28 SACCOS, NEFSCUN has grown upto 639 member SACCOS and District Unions representing approximately 325,000 individual members covering 56 districts in Nepal (as of June 2009).
