NEFSCUN is the Apex organization of Saving and Credit Cooperative Societies and their District Unions in Nepal providing financial and other services enhancing sustainability of its members, guided by credit union principles and values. NEFSCUN believes that its prime purpose is to ensure that SACCOS and the DU’s are thriving throughout Nepal’s communities and continually providing affordable financial services to their members. We believe that SACCOS are born out of human need, grows as it serves people, and endures as long as it is useful and wanted. To us SACCOS are institutions through which relations between their members-savers and borrowers are based upon humane basis-service. It is a business with a special purpose, a business with a heart.

Mission:
Represent, promote, strengthen and provide technical support and forum for members to become viable community based financial institutions by providing value-added financial services on a sustainable basis.

• NEFSCUN works with its members to strengthen serve and promote SACCOS as effective institutions for socio-economic development of SACCOS members.
• NEFSCUN aims to provide value-added services to its members to address the challenges described earlier.
